• Thank you for the kindness and care that you show my mum every day.

  • My Mother was in Culwood House Residential Care Home for over 3 years, and it was a great comfort and reassurance to know how well she was looked after. The staff were so caring, kind and patient. Always quick to call for medical advice. Culwood House is very cosy and clean, with a homely atmosphere, lovely conservatory and beautiful garden. Our family were always made very welcome when visiting and were always provided with drinks and delicious lunches when required. Thanks to all for everything.

  • Mum has been here for just over a month and my brother and I are just amazed how much she has progressed in that time. Last week she was Resident of the Day and had a lovely day. We took her photo and compared it with one we had taken when she arrived and were staggered how much better she looks now … just amazing! I popped to visit mum today and she spent a couple of happy hours arranging the flowers and is slowly developing the confidence to take her meals outside in the sunshine! I can’t thank the staff at Culwood enough. They are caring, thoughtful and hugely encouraging to Mum. In short, they are wonderful and we are so grateful for the care they provide for Mum. Thank you!

  • Just a note to say a huge thank you for Mum’s lovely birthday tea. It was wonderful to see Mum enjoying herself and smiling so much! Really appreciate all your hard work and effort in making it a success. Many thanks again.

  • I wanted to thank you for the lovely egg hunt. It was a wonderful afternoon and good to see some of the staff with their families too. The tea spread was as good as you would find in any hotel – looked amazing and plenty for everyone. For my daughter in law it was the first time for her to see the home and she was very impressed – said the house was in excellent condition and spotless.

  • How lovely it was to sit around your beautiful table again. She was, of course, with us. Mummy loved to sit in that room and listen to music. I can’t thank you enough for making Culwood House feel like ‘home’ That has been so wonderfully helpful to me and all the family.

  • Over the years working in the community and acute settings I have visited many care homes, as has my son who is a paramedic. We both agree that unfortunately there are very few that we would like our family to live in. Culwood is the exception. I have never seen such beautiful end of life care given to an older person as I witnessed being given to [resident name]. Each time I passed her room I could see that she was comfortable, without pain, warm and cosily tucked up in bed. The NHS of today could learn a lot from you and your staff about how compassion, care and dignity should be implemented on a day to day practical level. I do hope that when the time comes that Mum’s end of life will also be at Culwood in her gorgeous little room.

  • Thank you for organising a brilliant day out. It was a lovely relaxing voyage along the Grand Union and good fish and chips. Thanks to you all for your commitment and kindness.

  • I would just like to say, once again, how deeply grateful we are to you and your wonderful staff for looking after Dad so magnificently well, and for making his life so enjoyable, comfortable and dignified during his time at Culwood House. He could not have been in more caring and supportive hands and it was a great comfort to all of us to know that he felt safe and secure at a time in his life when he most needed it. THANK YOU… from the bottom of our hearts.

  • My mother has been a resident at Culwood House for 2 and a half years. She has good mental capacity but suffers from osteoporosis and needs a lot of physical support. The care and affection she receives is outstanding. I have recommended Culwood House to friends who now have parents living there too! The standard of upkeep and maintenance of the home is excellent. I am made to feel so welcome there too, and I actually often try to put my own house key in the front door!

  • Very kind and cosy, bright and comforting. No wonder you get lots of flowers!
